Dr. Melanie Denton
Dr. Melanie Denton grew up on a dairy near Bessie, Oklahoma. Dr. Denton is a 2002 graduate from Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine. At the age of 9 Dr. Denton started training and showing horses, if she gets free time she enjoys teaching children about horsemanship and safety. She also likes spending time farming with her husband Brandon, 3 sons and 1 daughter, they raise Red and Black Commercial Angus they also have 2 dogs, 1 cat and 7 horses. Dr. Denton joined Hollis Veterinary Hospital in 2002 and worked 5 years with Dr. Killian. She opened Sandy Creek Veterinary Care in Eldorado, Ok. In 2010 Dr. Denton merged both clinics with Hollis being the primary office and Eldorado being the satellite office. The name was chosen because Sandy Creek runs through both Hollis and Eldorado. Dr. Denton is licensed in both Oklahoma and Texas. She is also a member of the American Veterinary Medicine Association (AVMA), Oklahoma Veterinary Medicine Association (OVMA), Academy of Veterinary Consults (AVC) and a lifetime member of the AQHA.
Caly Hamersley, Rn,
Caly joined Sandy Creek Vet Care in 2010. She was born and raised in Weatherford, Oklahoma. Caly attended SWOSU where she graduated with a degree in biology and a minor in chemistry. She recently finished her master's degree in park and recreation management. Caly also received her Registered Nurse Degree from Western Oklahoma State College. "I enjoy being a vet-tech because of the nature of the job, no two days are alike. Technicians get to perform a wide variety of procedures, see many different patients and interact with a dozen or more owners." Caly and her husband, John have a daughter, Emory, who is 4-years-old and a son, Hitch, who is 2-years-old. They also have 2 horses, 4 dogs, 5 cats, chickens and cattle.
Dee phillips, office manager
Dee joined Sandy Creek Veterinary Care in July 2015. She is a life-long resident of Hollis. Dee has one daughter and one granddaughter. She also has two fur babies - Princess and Keekee that she rescued. "I have a special love for dogs and cats and learning their unique names. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, attending church activities, sporting events and traveling."
John Henry Kennedy
John works part time at Sandy Creek Veterinary Care, he is orginally from Childress, TX. He has worked at the Hollis office for over 16 years. John likes fishing, listening to loud music and giving people a hard time.
Taylor Landes
Taylor graduated from Altus High School in 2015. She attended WOSC in Altus for one year before transferring to OSU-Stillwater where she is a pre-vet student. She has one border collie named Riley. "I love animals. I believe that every day is a new day." Her hobbies are snowboarding, fishing, hunting and going to the mountains. "I enjoy helping my dad farm and spending time with my family."
Bryanna Adams
Bryanna graduated from Eldorado High School in 2015. She is currently enrolled at WOSC in Altus. Bryanna has one dog, Arloe. "I have a love for animals. I enjoy seeing the smiles on the owners' faces when their pets are healthy." Her hobbies are hiking, fishing and going on adventures.
